This membership is available to students currently completing a teaching degree. Note that this does not apply to Teach for Australia teachers who are generating an income.
Membership provides pre-service teachers with the opportunity to engage in professional learning with current teaching and to develop a network of support when moving from university into the classroom.
Membership is for 12-months from the date of joining. Beginning teachers with an existing Pre-service membership can continue with that membership until the date of expiry, when she or he would move to full membership.
