2021 Festival of Teaching
The Professional Teachers Association NT has a fantastic festival for NT teachers on Saturday August 28. It's always a great event with sessions and seminars from across the curriculum. Click on the image below to head to the PTANT website for details of the program and how to register.
GHTANT has four workshops offered:
- Creating locator maps and charts with Datawrapper (Steve Hawkins) - great for geography and social sciences teachers!
- Making museum curators of our students (Emma Forrester) - great for history teachers!
- Are there any pictures? Using images to teach complex social and historical concepts (Raine Caldwell) - great for history and social science teachers!
- Intergenerational knowledge transfer: How-to guide for teachers in remote settings (Will Forman) - this workshop is great for anyone interested in remote teaching, not specific to humanities. We were happy to sponsor Will's session because remote engagement is so important!
WE HAVE LIMITED TRAVEL SUPPORT FOR OUR REGIONAL AND REMOTE MEMBERS! We will email details directly to our members, as well as those who might join in the next few weeks.
There are discounted tickets for association members, too!!
Australian Geography Teachers Association conference
The 2021 AGTA conference is coming up on September 29 - October 1. COVID willing, it will be an absolutely fantastic conference. Scholarship details have closed for this, but if you are keen (tax deductible!) then the early bird rates for the conference close soon. Why not combine a trip to beautiful Tassie with the AGTA conference??
